Kleinschmidt, Dorothy E. (18 AUG 1932 - 7 NOV 2011)

 

Dorothy E. Kleinschmidt, 79, of Chili, passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. Father Samuel Martin will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Stephens Cemetery in Chili. 

Family and friends are welcome from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1932, the daughter of August and Dorothy (Moede) Schultz in Marshfield. Dorothy was united in marriage to Norbert Kleinschmidt on April 25, 1951, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville. Together they farmed on the Kleinschmidt family farm. She also worked at Figis, Ron's Chuck Wagon and retired from the deli at Spencer IGA. 

Dorothy was a member of the PCCW at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. She raised chickens, canned produce from her big garden, was a terrific baker and enjoyed embroidery, arts and crafts.

Dorothy is lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Norbert; two children, Scott (Kathy) Kleinschmidt, Chili, and Sara (Kevin) Kennow, Marshfield; two granddaughters, Monica and Amy Kennow, Chili; two step-grandsons, Tom (Nicole) Eberhardt, Lindsey, and Jon (Ashley) Eberhardt, Stratford; four step-great-grandchildren, Violet, Aiden, Lilyannah and Ashton. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Dorothy.
