Pabich, Stella (3 MAY 1880 - 24 FEB 1959)
Last rites were held at St. Hedwig’s Chapel here at ten o’clock Tuesday, Feb. 27th, for Stella, Mrs. John Pabich, 79, who passed away at the Stanley hospital, Stanley, Wis., of old age infirmities on Feb. 24, 1959. Rev. Father Francis Piekarski was celebrant of the requiem Mass.
Stella Sniegowski was born in Poland on May 3, 1880. She came to America in 1900 and on May 10, 1904 was united in marriage at Chicago to John Pabich, now deceased.
They came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in the year 1922 and located on a farm in the Town of Withee. She was residing in Thorp with her son, Joseph, at the time of death. She was a member of St. Hedwig’s Holy Rosary Society.
Besides one son, Joseph, she is survived by four daughters, Sophia, Mrs. Walter Marek and Minnie, Mrs. John Marek of Thorp, Frances, Mrs. Leon Marek of Chicago, and Evelyn, Mrs. Edward Kobylinski of Greenwood; two brothers, Jacob Sniegowski of Thorp and John Sniegowski of Chicago.
She was laid to rest in the parish cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers: Anthony, Roman and Dennis Marek, George Kobylinski, and Richard and Henry Pabich.
