Wm. Becker of Edgar, Wis., visited with his brother O.W. Becker several days last week.

Max Opelt drove to Spencer last week Wednesday with his salesman, Mr. Watson.

August Broker of Lindsey was a business caller at this place Monday and spent part of the day with station agent Washburn.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brooks and Mrs. John Altenberg attended the Ladies Aid at C.L. Altenburg’s last Thursday.

Chas. Lempke had the misfortune to break is leg at the sand bee last week.  Dr. Rath of Granton was called to set the broken limb.

Mrs. F. helm and daughter Elda spent Friday at L.E. Moh’s.

Mrs. Chas. Sitts of Nevins is visiting Mrs. Albert Sternitzky this week.

Mrs. Sherrett and Mrs. Jones and mother of Shortville came up and took in the quilting at Mrs. Albert Sternitzky’s last week Tuesday.

Miss Emma Schmitz is assisting with the house hold duties at the Oscar Sternitzky home since the arrival of the little daughter last Sunday.

Mrs. Martha Nitschke went to Neillsville Saturday to take in the English Bell Ringers.

Mr. and Mrs. August Dankemyer of Chili spent Sunday with the Fred Hankey family.

M. A. Gotter and daughter Zelma went to Columbia Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. W. Christman.

Richard Gotter sold a horse last week to East Lynn parties.

Mrs. Henry Sternitzky went to Wausau Monday.

Miss Etta Altenburg has been sewing for Mrs. O.W. Becker for the past two weeks.

R. Gotter spent Sunday with F. Hankey’s.

Mrs. P. Steinbach is confined to the house with the grippe.

Arthur Opelt made a business trip to Marshfield Tuesday.

Wm. Bachausen hauled a load of calves to Granton Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Steinbach and little son spent last Tuesday at L.E. Moh’s.

The train was delayed about 6 hours Monday on account of the engine leaving the track on the extension above Romadka.  An extra train was sent for to pull the engine back on the track and both trains left here about 5 o’clock.
