Last week Loyal Jordan sold his farm with most of the personal property to Louis Lindow.  Loyal is going to stay in the house this summer.

Frank Oens seems to have escaped death by freezing very narrowly on Sunday.

Saturday night H. Schoengarth’s orchestra gave a dance at the opera hall here.  Quite a crowd attended.

Mr. and Mrs. Degener and daughter Vivian visited at Neillsville from Saturday until Sunday.

Mrs. Max Lange and baby left Friday night for Fond du Lac for a visit with Mr. Lange’s parents for a few days.  Mrs. Lange reported her safe arrival.  Some anxiety was felt on account of the flood at that city.

The country roads are in a terrible condition.  The frost following the rain left the road very rough.  I is very difficult to stay on a buggy or lumber wagon.

H. Keller was in Neillsville on business Monday.  He ordered H. Erhardt to make him a cupboard.  Hank is becoming quite a furniture maker.

The entertainment given Monday night at the Lindow schoolhouse was attended by quite a few of the Chili people who wandered out there along the railroad track.  All report having had a fine time.  The cracker and whistling contest provoked all kinds of laughter.

A number of witnesses were called from here to testify in the case of Lindow vs. Boushon case last Tuesday.

The social school center was held this week Thursday instead of Friday, as this is Good Friday.

Wellie Davis has purchased the Fadner farm.

It is reported that Mrs. Allen bought the Wallace Barto farm north of here.

Aug. Prust was a Granton caller on Monday.

The play "Mother Goose" will be given by the Chili school Thursday evening, March 27, at the opera house.  Admission is 10 cents.
