Mrs. Fred Grassman entertained the Ladies Aid of Rev. Reiff’s Church last Wednesday.  About 20 of the ladies attended.

 

A.W. Beil of Cedarhurst was a business caller here Saturday.

 

John Schafer was called to Neillsville on business Tuesday.

 

Fred Hankey and family visited friends in Nasonville Sunday.

 

Miss Vera Schierholz spent Saturday and Sunday at Neillsville.

 

Mrs. John Breseman and Agnes Krause were shopping at the county seat last Monday.

 

Ray Ure and Carl Helm made a trip to Spring Valley the last part of the week.

 

The heading mill was shut down a day on account of the heavy rain washing away a small bridge near the mill.

 

Mrs. Ray Ure has been sick and under the care of Dr. Ross of Granton.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rose and little son of Granton visited Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ure Sunday.

 

Mrs. Ann Mundt’s little girl met with the misfortune while playing to break a leg.

 

Miss Ruby martin is sewing for Mrs. Henning near Chili.

 

Arthur Garbush, who was operated on in Chicago some time ago, was thought to be getting along nicely, when last week he was taken sick and Dr. Rath was called, who advised him to go to Eau Claire for a second operation.  He was so weak he had to be carried on a cot.  His wife and Henry Ebbe went with him to Eau Claire.

 

Lillie Yankee visited relatives near Neillsville last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. E. Montag of Cedarhurst came over and spent Saturday and Sunday at the old home.

 

The Schoengarth orchestra played at Chili for the dance.  A large crowd from here attended.

 

Miss Beatrice Howard of Greenwood has been engaged as teacher in the Geo. Brooks District and school began Monday.
