Ebben, Roseann (4 APR 1959)

 

Miss Roseann Ebben, daughter of Mrs. Harvey Ebben of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of James Sneen of Stanley, in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Herbert Hoffman at St. Bernard’s Church here are 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, April 4th, 1959.

 

The couple was attended by Jerome Wagner, a friend of the groom, and Carol Ebben, the only sister of the bride, who was attired in an orchid silk organza over taffeta dress with featured princess lines and scoop neckline and cap sleeves.  She carried a nosegay of yellow roses.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Clifford Ebben, wore a ballerina length gown of pure silk organza over tulle and taffeta.  The fitted bodice was featured on embroidery with scalloped neckline and short sleeves.  She carried two orchids.

 

During the ceremony organ music was rendered by Sister Mary Francesca and "Ave Maria" and "On This Day, Oh Beautiful Mother" were sung by the St. Bernard’s Junior Choir.  The bride placed a bouquet of flowers at the altar of the Blessed Mother.

 

The bride attended St. Bernard’s Parochial School here and is a graduate of Thorp High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Marshfield.  She has been employed two years as a registered nurse at Eau Claire Sacred Heart Hospital.  The groom graduated from Stanley High School and the State College at Eau Claire and has been employed as a distributor for the Coca Cola Bottling Co. of Eau Claire, where they will reside at 620 Cochran St.

 

They are spending their honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin.

 

A reception was given at St. Bernard’s Hall for about one hundred twenty-five guests.
