Arthur Pitts of Tioga was in town between trains on Monday.
Fred Gerber and son Leland were at Nekoosa and Rand Rapids the first of the week.
Mrs. Arthur Pitts of Tioga, after a 10 day visit here with her mother, Mrs. Anna Lustig, went home on Monday.
Ed Paulson, with his car of household goods, did not leave here for Glalata, Mont. until Monday.
Postmaster J.M. Tompkins now delights in owning a fine Guernsey cow. He sold his "angora" cow.
Mrs. Webb Winn was taken ill again on Sunday with heart trouble. She is up and about again though at this writing.
Mrs. Hattie Beeckler is home from her visit at Milwaukee since last Friday.
Miss Amanda Lange of Lebanon, who is attending school at Wausau, is spending her weeks’ vacation here with her aunt, Mrs. J. Reiff.
Miss Elsie Grassman resigned her position at the Kemmeter store and will spend the spring and summer at home.
Mrs. Fred Hart and children came home from Humbird on Friday.
Elmer Dennis came up from Sycamore, Ill. Sunday on a several days visit among old friends.
Dwight E. Barker of Plainfield called on old friends here on Tuesday.
Mrs. John Pietenpol was a Marshfield visitor Monday.
Mrs. L.E. Moh is suffering a painful sore foot for the past two weeks.
Mrs. Barbara Dunkel, who has been here keeping house for her nephew John Kintzele, left for her home at Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Miss Lydia Pushek is assisting with the household duties at the L.E. moh home since Monday.
Mrs. Fred Wonser of Unity visited at E.R. Wonser’s a couple of days last week.
Mrs. Glines and son Clara came up from Merrillan Monday to take up their residence at John Kintzele’s where Mrs. Glines has accepted the position of housekeeper.
Mrs. Herman Batch underwent a critical surgical operation Saturday at the hands of Drs. Bradbury and Rath. Mrs. Frank Converse is caring for her since.
W.B. Wentworth of Edgerton came up last Saturday for a visit with his son Rush.
Herbert Brooks Jr. of Neillsville called on friends here Saturday.
Mrs. Laura Brown of Neillsville is visiting at the H.E. Williams home since last Saturday.
Mrs. Otto Walters came home from Chili on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strong and daughter Helen of Marshfield were weekend guests of his cousin Geo. Fraser and family.
W.D. Rose came home Monday from a business trip to Milwaukee, Madison and other southeastern state points.
Stephen Harski and Nat Machel went to Viola, Minn., Monday where they have employment on a large farm.
Rev. Reiff of this place and Rev. Zielsdorf of Nasonville and Rev. Kemena of Loyal went to DePere Monday to attend a conference.
Miss Elizabeth Guk, a professional nurse from Milwaukee, is here visiting the Chas. Neinas family and other relatives.
Miss Vivian Ure came over from Neillsville Saturday and remained until the next day noon, the guest of friends here and at Lynn.
Mrs. W.S. Davis and Miss Emma Kimball went to Merrillan Saturday evening and made an over Sunday visit with relatives.
Mrs. Frances Woodward visited between the Mrs. Breed and Baer homes several days last week.
Prof. G.D. Vincent made a business trip to Merrillan on Monday.
Miss Elda Helm is clerking in the P.J. Kemmeter store since Monday.
O.W. Becker attended the cheese makers meeting at Marshfield on Saturday.
Richard Gotter and Arnold Worchel transacted business at Neillsville on Monday.

Mrs. Chas. Neinas and her sister Elizabeth Guk spent Monday with friends at Neillsville.
Ernest Sternitzky and W.J. Thayer were at the county seat on business on Monday.
Mrs. Geo. Rose and daughter Pearl came home from Plymouth on Saturday. Mr. Rose and daughter Elva met them at Marshfield.
Miss Myrtle Roberts of Wilton arrived here Saturday evening on a several days visit between the Dr. Rath and Homer Downer homes.
Miss Fern Alton of Neillsville made a weekend visit with her sister Mrs. E. Root in York.
Lela Stratton visited Neillsville relatives Monday and Tuesday and then went home to Melrose.
Mrs. B.P. Churchill, with three children of Milwaukee, where were visitors at the B. Dangers home in Neillsville, spent Saturday afternoon here with relatives in the P. Kemmeter family.
Lela Stratton and Vera Huff visited relatives of the former at Neillsville on Saturday.
Alex Kriewaldt attended the cheese makers meeting at Marshfield on Saturday.
Edith Lowe of Neillsville was the guest of Shirley Knorr here on Saturday.
Wendell Bradbury of Neillsville came over last Friday and remained until the middle of this week visiting at the E.A. Beeckler home.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wallace and children are visiting at Edward Schroeder’s since last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Plaul and grandson Alvin Cole went to Marshfield Monday to see Mrs. Hy Neinas (the former’s daughter and the latter’s mother) who underwent an operation there for cancer the Monday before, and who was not expected to live.
Mr. and Mrs. Avery Wallace of Neillsville enjoyed "Borderland" at the opera house here Saturday evening and visited friends until Sunday noon. They formerly lived in the town of Washburn and were well acquainted with all those who took part in the play.
Philmore Kemmeter came home Saturday from a several days visit with his maternal grandmother at Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Preston and daughter Ethelyn came home Sunday from a several days business and pleasure trip at Marshfield.
Mrs. R. Wittcamp went to Chicago on Monday to visit her daughter and at the same time attend the wedding of a niece of hers.
Chris Paulson came over from Nasonville last Monday with four head of pure bred Holstein cows which he sold to Emig brothers of Neillsville.
The Granton brass band will go to Merrillan tomorrow, Saturday night, to give a concert. We understand Professor Vincent has been engaged to organize a band at Merrillan and the boys are going down chiefly to show the people there the progress they have made in four months’ time under the Professor’s instructions.
