Fuchs, Carl (Abt. 1887-Aug 1957)
Word was received of the death of Carl (Hans) Fuchs (70) of Des Moines, Iowa.
Mr. Fuchs was the son of one of Loyal’s early doctors who died here in 1915. Carl was born in Freedonia and came with his parents when but a small child. His boyhood years were spent in Loyal. In 1909 he went to Des Moines to live. He returned a few times to renew acquaintances with his old Loyal friends.
He served for 32 years as a Des Moines fireman and at the time of his death was secretary-treasurer of the Iowa Fireman’s Association.
He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, Home Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Fire Fighters Association, and a charter member of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Carl A. and Emmett P. Fuchs, Dayton, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
