A number from this vicinity delivered calves and hogs to Chili Monday.
All those who are not sending their children to school in this district on account of the smallpox scare, better do so before they receive an invitation from the superintendent.
Albert Fenske, the newly appointed constable of the town of Fremont, has made the following ironclad rules: First, no person, male of female, will be allowed to drink more than one barrel of beer every 24 hours. Second, every man who keeps his team tied to the hitching post more than two hours will be fined 200 dollars for the first offense and will be hung for the next. Third, in case of a riot call he reserves the right to call on the fire department if necessity demands.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Breseman called on Emil Lindow last week Saturday and on their return trip had the misfortune to break the front axle on their buggy.
Walter Moldenhauer, who has been sawing lumber in this neighborhood, will be through in a few days and will move his machine to Henry Albrecht’s
Mrs. Will Albrecht left Wednesday for Marshfield where she will spend a few days with her sister Mrs. Gehrke.
A christening took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Sternitzky Sunday afternoon. Their little daughter will hereafter be known as Vera Louella.
It is reported that Arthur Garbush will soon return from the hospital greatly improved in health.
