J.D. Graves and wife went to Milwaukee Saturday to remain over Sunday.

Gus Damon left Sunday for Louisiana where he expects to be for several months.

Mrs. A.W. Follett went to Greenwood Saturday to spend Sunday with her husband.

Chas. Gummo came down from Rib Lake Saturday to spend a few days with his family.

Rev. Biggar and daughter Minnie drove to Colby last Wednesday and returned Thursday.

Mr. Fisher of Fond du Lac is visiting at the home of his son, George, our genial elevator man.

Effie Williams spent several days last week with her friend, Cora Reinheimer, in the town of Sherman.

Perley Reas and wife drove down from March Saturday evening to remain a few days with relatives.

Lillie Longdon, who is matron of the Deaconesses’ Home in Chicago, is at home for a two weeks’ vacation.

Maude Damon came home Saturday from Thorp, where she was employed in the city schools the past year.

Verna Richardson went to Marshfield Thursday to be present at the graduating exercises that evening.

May Trumbull and Alma Wendell went to Marshfield Saturday. They will open a dressmaking shop in that city.

Vincent Dygart came home Friday evening for a few days’ visit at home. He now holds a position in the depot at Cleveland, Wis.

Mrs. Will Parks and her sister-in-law, Jennie Parks, came down from Phillips Saturday and are guests at the Loveland home.

Those present from here who were at the state encampment of the G.A.R.. [Grand Army of the Republic] at Stevens Point last week are: A.W. Stewart and wife, H.R. Crowell and wife, Mesdames Mason, Bradley, Hanson, Andrews, Graves and Strayer, and Messrs. Williams, Whitmore, Vanderhoof, Schofield, Smith, Whipple and McVean. All say they enjoyed it immensely and they have nothing but praises for Stevens Point.
