Young, Louis G. (Military Notes - 1963)
Louis G. Young, engineman fireman, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Young, Sr., of Colby, is serving aboard the seaplane tender USS Salisbury Sound, a Pacific Fleet unit operating out of the Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Wash. Until June 29, Salisbury Sound had been operating out of Almeda, Calif. In the near future she is slated for Seventh Fleet duty in the Far East. Upon returning from her Seventh Fleet cruise Salisbury Sound will operate in the Puget Sound, Wash. area.
