Geo. huff spent Wednesday at Neillsville on business bent.

Mrs. A.J. Knorr made a social visit to Neillsville friends on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto C. Henze visited at Emery Crosby’s in Neillsville on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas Wiesner were guests at the August Schmall home on Monday.

W.J. Marsh of Neillsville is home from the Battle Creek Mich. sanitarium and quite okay again.

Invitations are out for the wedding next week Thursday at Marshfield of Helen M. Connor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Connor and Rev. Melvin R. Laird, a former Presbyterian pastor there, now located at Lincoln, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Marsh and son Hallan have returned to their Neillsville home after a several week absence in various Pacific coast points.

John Pietenpol and H.A. Nonhof spent yesterday at Marshfield in attendance at the meeting of the Pure Bred Holstein Breeders Association there that day.

Mrs. Aug. Scholtz Sr. has recovered her eyesight sufficiently to write letters, read the papers and sew.  She is thoroughly enjoying herself thus occupied but writes that as soon as it gets a little warmer and more like settled weather she will return to experience the joy of seeing her beloved relatives and friends here, and again take up her residence at the Rich Kurth home.

Mrs. Wm. Benedict is at Marshfield taking treatments for an ear trouble, since Wednesday.

Arthur Stallman is freight conductor since Sunday.

Mrs. Joe Wilcott and baby Olive joined Mr. Wilcott at Veefkind where they have taken up their residence Wednesday.

Mrs. Webb Winn and Mrs. Ara Lee spent Wednesday afternoon at Chili.

Mrs. Leo Lenoble and Mrs. R. Eberts of Chili spent Wednesday morning here with friends.

Elmer Dennis’ car of household goods has arrived from Sycamore, Ill., and his family is expected tomorrow when they will again take up their residence on their own farm north of town, all of which will be most welcome news to their old friends hereabouts.

Judge Schoengarth keeps his hand in trim for the knot tying contest.  I wonder when the tables will be turned on him and he be entangled by this knot.  It was he who united Asa Slocomb and Miss Flora Young, two prominent and well known Loyal young people, the first of the month.
