Foemmel’s Corners (19 May 1911)

Barry Davis came Thursday after the colt which he bought of his uncle Truman.

Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer came last Thursday and stayed until Sunday with her parents.

John Pietenpol and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Hale Davis.

Kearney Dais and family were guests at the H. A. Nonhof home Sunday.

Mrs. Chas Hayden accompanied her son-in-law, Sam Martin and his baby to Neillsville to see Dr. Matheson last week, Thursday and spent the remainder of the week in caring for the baby.

Mr. and Mrs. Hale Davis were seen on our streets Sunday evening. 

Mrs. Violet Warner Edington, formerly of Granton writes from home in Washington that Sir Stork presented them with a baby girl, about two weeks ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Wella Beecher passed through here the first of the week on their way to Granton.

We would be glad to hear from the Windfall corners again.

Mrs. Arthur Lammers of Waldo bought the Tucker Cheese Factory and expects to move his family here and start up about June 1.  We would like to see all the old patrons back again and as many new ones as care to come.  Mr. Lammers comes well recommended and if the farmers meet him half way he will no doubt make a success.

Truman Davis in walking around on the scaffold in the barn stepped on the end of a loose board which flew up and skinned his nose and cut a gash about an inch long just above the left eye.  Dr. Ross took 3 stitches in it.

Geo. Huntley drove to Loyal Sunday to see his sister, Mrs. Bush Davis.
