Star Corner (19 May 1911)
Mrs. Philip Breseman was called to Altoona Sunday on account of the sickness of her daughter, Mrs. Richard Anding.
John Goebel will raise his barn next Monday.
Mrs. Albert Bentz and daughters Olga and Julia and Mrs. Chas Bass were Neillsville callers on Thursday of last week.
Max Opelt who has been speeding his new auto the last few days, passed through here Saturday.
Robert Gotter spent Sunday at Philip Breseman’s.
John Herman did some plowing for Geo. Deegan and Louis Hebert this week.
The barn basement of John Goebel’s which was finished last Tuesday was partly demolished by the heavy rain fall and wind Tuesday night. The masons repaired it in about three days.
Ralph Mayhew delivered cheese to Granton Monday.
Henry Schier will give a dance in his barn Sat., May 20th, to which the public is cordially invited to attend. Good music in attendance
Miss Sadie Bass and Alfred and Leo Bentz are attending German school.
Louis Hebert and son Emery and Herman Krause plastered Fred Grassman’s hen house last week.
Paul Goebel while driving home with a load of shingles Wednesday experienced a run-a-way and was so injured that a physician was called to attend him.
