Lynn (19 May 1911)
Will Yorkston’s house was totally destroyed by fire last week Thursday afternoon. A defective chimney and the high wind were the cause of it. Some of the household goods were saved. The loss is partially covered by insurance.
The Misses Bertha and Elda Helm entertained the Busy Bee Sewing club Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. R. T. Washburn was called to Millston Sunday by the death of her mother.
School closed in district No. 2 with a picnic last Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Altenburg and daughters Edna and Emma spent Sunday at Robert Nankivell’s.
Max Opelt brought home with him from Eau Claire last week a 30 h. p. International touring car.
Robert Washburn too owns a car since last Saturday, having bought a Ford of the Knorr-Rausch Hdw. Co. of Granton.
Walter Riedel and Arthur Stubbs left for the West last week.
The Heading Company have finished sawing heading and are now sawing shingles.
Otto Becker is building a new porch on the north side of his house.
