Lynn (26 May 1911)

Miss Elsie Grassman returned home from Mendota where she has been working in the hospital.

The Misses Ruby and Gertrude Martin and Miss Lillian Opelt called on Vivian and James Ure Sunday; it being James’ birthday.

There will be a dance at the bowery Saturday evening, May 27th.

Leo and Gilbert Sternitzky and Arthur Opelt went to Neillsville Tuesday to have some dental work done.

The Carnation club will meet with Mrs. Fred Hankey Wednesday.

Everybody is busy with the Dutch measles.

Mrs. R. T. Washburn returned home Monday, but went back to Millston on Wednesday to take care of her mother during her illness.

We wish to correct a mistake which appeared in one of the items last week.  Mrs. Washburn was not called to Millston by the death of her mother, but on account of the latter’s serious illness.

Announcements were out last week of the marriage of George W. Hams and Miss Ila Blanch Akey of Rudolph, Wis., Tuesday, May 20. George is well known in this vicinity and has the best wishes of all.
