Quammen, Emma (3 JUL 1884 - 14 JUN 1959)
Funeral services for Mrs. George Quammen, who passed away at Stanley Sunday, was held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Frank Salveson officiating. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery.
She was born Emma Eueysen on July 3, 1884, the daughter of John and Alvena Eueysen in the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) and lived with her pioneer parents until she married George Quammen at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley on May 23, 1916. He preceded her in death in 1926. She was a member of Our Savior’s Church and participated in many of the church’s activities.
Surviving are one son, Milton of Philadelphia; one daughter, Mrs. Oliver (Hazel) Valley of Cassville, Wis.; one brother, Helmuth of Columbus, Wis., and eight grandchildren.
