Harry Eide has installed a new boiler in his cheese factory.

 

If the present condition of the roads continues much longer it might be a wise plan to build a road-drag factory.

 

Herman Jensen has been re-appointed road overseer in this detract and will commence operations as soon as the weather permits.

 

Louis Knoop bought some hare of Fred Grade last week.

 

Parents who keep their children out of school half of the time and then blame the teacher because they don’t learn anything are something like the fellow who cut off his nose to spite his face.

 

Kindly keep on your own side of the fence Lindsey, your smallpox cases do not interest us in the least.  The item of a few weeks ago included our own community and not those in the surrounding districts.  It is an easy matter to jump at conclusions whether one has reasons to or not, but sometimes with the same results as the bear when he stuck his nose into a beehive.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Guk spent Saturday evening at Emil Lindow’s.

 

All those who desire the services of the stallions Thumper and Colonel, Chas. Guk, owner, may do so every day at the owner’s barn except every Saturday when they will stand at Matt Jeger’s barn near the Yellow River bridge.

 

Fred Lichte had a phone put in Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jensen spent Sunday at Wm. Albrecht’s.

 

Walter Moldenhauer finished sawing logs for Henry Albrecht Monday and moved his mill to Paul Bealer’s in Fremont.

 

Ella Ridderbusch closed school Monday noon that her scholars might attend the funeral of Harry Altenburg, their schoolmate.
