The "T" Club is a thing of the past.  In its stead we have the improvement club, and their chief ambition is to raise a fund for the building of a sidewalk to the schoolhouse.  The aid and cooperation of friends and citizens is solicited.  Mrs. Fred Hart is president, Mrs. P.J. Kemmeter Treasurer and Mrs. Myron Osgood secretary.

"Hearts and Diamonds" is the name of the play which will be presented by the Granton High School at the opera house tonight, Friday.  A dance will be given after the play, for which the Granton Farmers Orchestra will furnish the music.  The show starts at 8 o’clock sharp.

Last week Wednesday was Mrs. Geo. Nichols’ birthday and she was made a victim of a delightful surprise party and the recipient of many useful and beautiful presents.  All concerned had a good time and wished for many repetitions of the day to be spent in like celebration.

The board of directors of the Lynn Mutual Fire Insurance Co. recently made an important change in the rules and regulations of that company.  Heretofore livestock, pure bred or grad, had to be insured alike and a limited amount was paid in case of loss of any animal, regardless as to what the actual value of same might have been.  Under the new ruling purebred stock may be insured under a separate policy and to amounts as follows: Mares and stallions from $100 to $400, according to age; calves under 1 year old at $35; heifers or bulls over 1 year old and under two at $75; heifers, cows or bulls over 2 years old at $125.
