York Center (15 June 1911)

 

Those who had lightning rods erected on their building since last writing are Mrs. Sarah Lindsley, Ed Northup, O. W. Lawrence, Melvin Lawrence and Jesse Mortimer.

 

Leigh Palmer left Wednesday for Minneapolis.

 

Miss Mae McNamara closed a successful term of school in district No. 2, Friday.

 

Elwin Root has the Quinsy.

 

Quite a few from this vicinity took in the circus Friday.

 

Friday was the hottest day this summer.  It being 98 in the shade!

 

Ross Root returned home Saturday from City Point where he has been teaching school.

 

Miss Viola Alton was the guest of her sister Mrs. D. Timerson over Sunday.

 

The Children’s Day Program at the M. E. Church Sunday was largely attended and was pronounced fine.

 

Abie Turner rode the goat Saturday nit. We se Abie is still alive and well, but as to the goat no one has seen or heard anything of it since.

 

A bouncing baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Parrett last week.
