Foemmel’s Corners (15 June 1911)

Mr. Hefty and Emil Krause put in the new plank at the bridge near the factory last week.

Mr. Lammers has a paraffining tank and parafins his own cheese.

Davis & Paulson have hired Mr. Earle Davis and wife to move onto and look after the King farm.

Mr. and Mrs. Lammers spent Thursday afternoon with Frank Preston and family of Star Corner.

Ross Paulson brought 12 horses and a span of mules from Chicago last Sunday and now has them for sale at the farm here.

F. W. Davis and N. E. Lee were seen on our streets Sunday.

Mrs. Sam Martin and children spent a few days with her mother Mrs. Hayden.

Joe Lastofka isn’t trying to celebrate the 4^th of July, but just blasting out stumps.

Truman Davis and wife called on Mr. and Mrs. Lammers the first of the week.

Myron Osgood and wife spent Sunday at Frant Osgood’s.

Roy Lawrence’s two little girls came Thursday and stayed until Sunday at Grandma Huntley’s.

Mrs. Truman Davis and children, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hayden were Sunday guests at Chas. Hayden’s.

Al Nonhof and family attended the children’s day exercises at York Center last Sunday.

Wm. Foemmel has bought forty acres of land near Chili.

Lucile Davis visited at the Louis Hayden and John Pietenpol homes from Friday afternoon until Saturday afternoon.

Ross Root came home Saturday from Steven s Point where he has been teaching.

Mrs. Jim Tompkins spent Wednesday here with her sister Mrs. Herbert Fradette.

Frank Krejci says if anyone had hung himself just because we had so much rain, he’d be pretty sorry now that we are having such nice weather.
