Star Corner (22 June 1911)

 

Ella Yankee who has been attending school at Lynn returned to her home here.

 

Mr. Bert Mayhew of Plymouth is visiting relatives here for a few days.

 

Miss Elsie Breseman spent Sunday at Mr. Gotter’s.

 

The Unity cheese box man called on Frank Preston Thursday of last week.

 

Mrs. Ernest Nitschke is in very poor health.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Teatz of Jefferson County who has spent the past week with their cousin August Teatz returned to their home Monday.

 

Miss Julia Bentz will leave for Milwaukee the latter part of this week for a few weeks visit with relatives.

 

Miss Lottie Krause is spending some time with her sister Mrs. John Breseman at Lynn.

 

Byrl Kidd who is visiting at Willard Christman’s called at the factory Sunday.  His wife, formerly Nettie Christman is expected the latter part of the week.

 

Mrs. Chas Wiesner and daughter Ottelia spent Tuesday at Granton.

 

Mayhews’ and Preston’s witnessed the ball game in Lynn Sunday.

 

Miss Martha Breseman who has employment at Neillsville is spending a few days at her home here.

 

Chas Bass and family spent Tuesday evening at Fred Grassman’s

 

Mrs. Krause spent Wednesday with her daughter Mrs. Chas Bass. She walked her the distance of 3½ miles. Quite a walk for a lady past seventy!

 

Bentz’s relatives returned to Milwaukee Saturday, having visited here some time.

 

Mr. Ralph Mayhew is the owner of a fine Holstein calf which his father brought up from Sheboygan County for him.

 

Henry Grassman who is employed as a blacksmith at Marshfield spent last week at home and attended the Faber wedding.
