MacAdam, Richard Lee "Dick" (7 April 1947 - 18 November 2011) With Flag
Richard Lee "Dick" MacAdam, 64, of Cedaredge, CO, ended a long battle with cancer, as he passed away peacefully and comfortably Nov. 18, 2011, at the Grand Junction Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Dick was born April 7, 1947, in Oshkosh to Albert "Jack: and Julia (Schaffer) MacAdam. He graduated from Lourdes Catholic Academy in Oshkosh, was a carpenter and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a U. S. Navy Diver. He was previously married to June (Schabloski) MacAdam of Oshkosh.
Dick was a lover of all things in nature - an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter, who was always willing to share his expertise with friends. His mischievous wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed. His family is grateful for the many Cedaredge friends who cared for him dearly and will always be considered his family.
Dick is survived by his mother, Julia (Oshkosh and previously of Cedaredge); two brothers, Clarence "Jack" MacAdam of Augusta, GA, and Steve MacAdam of Cedaredge, CO; three sisters, Mary Bruflat of Neillsville, Darlene Barrailler of Oak Harbor, WA, and Julie "Sissy" Brooks of Oshkosh; two sons, CTNCS Dean MacAdam of Pensacola, FL, and Luke MacAdam of Las Vegas, NV; and two daughters, Angie Brewer and Molly MacAdam of Oshkosh. He was further survived by his daughter-in-law, Carolyn MacAdam; son-in-law, Brian Brewer; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan, Emily and Jenna.
Dick is currently fishing with his father "Jack" MacAdam, who preceded him in death.
To Dick and all his family and friends, "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord is with all of you." (2 Thess. 3:16)
