Chili (30 June 1911)

Still a little rain once in a while to keep the air nice and fresh

Our Pathmaster John Lindow has had the tax payers out working on the streets the past week.

Mr. A. Degener and Geo Selk set up a windmill for Dell Millhohn on the H. Kleinschmidt farm. Dell says he got tired of pumping by hand.

O. F. Walters of the Town of Grant bought a new Acme binder and mower of H. Degener and came after same last Saturday.  Clark Waterman helped him get the machines home.

Farmers are now fighting the potato bugs instead of cut worms.

Mrs. Chas Elchlepp came home Saturday night from her visit up north.

L. A. Reichert bought a new piano of H. Koser this week.

Dan Cattanach who has been on the sick list for the last two weeks is able to be around again.

Anton Schuster received a message Tuesday to go to Auburndale to work in a store.  He left for there Wednesday morning.

W. Gebhardt and Clark Waterman drove out Monday night and got their cart which was badly demolished in a run-a-way a week ago last Sunday.  They took it to the repair shop to get fixed up for another experience.

Chas. Lindow and wife drove out to the picnic last Sunday.

All come to Chili July 4th and have a good time. The business men are working hard to make this an interesting day.
