Abrahamson, Susan Ann (Marriage –1963)
A 7:30 p.m. candlelight service was the setting for the wedding Saturday of Miss Susan Ann Abrahamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Abrahamson of Fairchild, and Kenneth R. Janke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Janke, also of Fairchild. The Rev. E. G. Schedler of the Grace Lutheran Church officiated.
For her wedding, the bride wore a floor length gown of bridal tissue taffeta. The fitted bodice was designed with a scoop neckline and Camelot sleeves. The semi-flat front of the full bouffant skirt was fashioned with a carriage back of soft, unpressed pleats, accented with a large bow. Her imported English veil of silk illusion was attached to an open crown jeweled with aurora borealis. She carried a cascade arrangement of stephanotis, centered with a white orchid.
Mrs. Lamoine Anason, sister of the bride, was her matron of honor, and Kaylene Abrahamson served as her bridesmaid. They wore identically-fashioned ballerina-length dresses in leaf green Sata Peau, designed with a scoop neckline and a full skirt, styled with a large bow which encircled its base. A harmonizing headpiece held their blush veils and they carried cascade bouquets of bronze chrysanthemums and yellow carnations.
The groom was attended by Lyle Abrahamson, a brother of the bride, as bestman. His groomsman was Lamoine Anason.
A reception was held in the church parlors.
Mr. and Mrs. Janke will reside in Union Grove, where he is employed. The bride teaches in Racine.
