The best time for seeding there has ever been for spring seeding has happened this year without a doubt. It has been dry and cool enough so the horses don’t have to suffer and can be pushed right along.
Mrs. Albert Degener and Mrs. C.L. Maack went to Neillsville Saturday and from there on a visit to their parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.F. Walter in the town of Grant.
A fresh car of lime received at the lime house this week.
The building activities have commenced in good earnest. All the masons that can work are busy.
Paul Bealer, Albert Lindow, Freeman Dankemyer, Joe Hutt, H. Nebel and H. Albrecht are some of those who are building barns.
Wm. Sanger’s men came Tuesday to build his house. They are going to tear down the old house to begin with. Will is going to use the stone of the old house to build his cellar for the new one.
Anton Hogenson is going to raise up the store and house, put a wall under it and partition the whole upstairs for living rooms.
Paul Bealer and Joe Hutt received a carload of lumber from Marshfield.
Mrs. Braun has her roof re-shingled. Ike Rogers is the head carpenter.
Herman Koser, who was on the jury, returned Friday with all the business on hand completed.
Willie Martin has a colt that will make its mark on the race track someday. When Willie lets it out for exercise it gets away and runs around the streets so swift that you can see nothing but a cloud of dust. Will is going to put the colt in the pasture for a while and then train for the full races.
