Badzinski, Rosemary (Marriage - 17 August 1963)
Miss Rosemary Badzinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Badzinski of Thorp, and Gerald Szymanski, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Szymanski of Thorp, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday in a double ring ceremony performed in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp. The Rev. Fr. Francis Brockman officiated. Bouquets of colored gladioli decorated the church.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown of silk organza over taffeta. The bodice was styled with a scoop neckline and long, tapered sleeves. The full bouffant skirt was fashioned with full gathers, highlighted in the back by a three gore bustle gathered horizontally, appearing to cover three-fourths of the back skirt. Her bridal veil was attached to a Swedish high crown of pearl drops. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses.
Miss Louella Badzinski was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marcy Badzinski and Bonnie Lato.
Bestman was James Lukas; groomsmen were Robert Badzinski and Merlin Nevela; and ushers were Louis Badzinski, Jr., of Wausau and Leonard Szymanski of Thorp.
On their return from a wedding trip to Montana Mr. and Mrs. Szymanski will reside in Strum, where Mrs. Szymanski is home economics instructor. Mr. Szymanski, a graduate to River Falls State College, is employed by a credit company in Eau Claire.
