Thomas, Melvin McKinley (? - 1963)
Funeral services were held at the Hill Funeral Home September 3, for Melvin McKinley Thomas, 67, with Charles Preston of Milwaukee officiating. Military rites were conducted by the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post No. 238. Pallbearers were: John Suda, LeRoy Fravert, Kenneth Hium, Vern Mech, Gordon Christopherson and Cletus Susa. Honorary pallbearers were World War I veterans, John Kelty, Fred Behrens, Harry Gordee, John F. Trunkel, Frank Murphy and Calvin Franz.
Alvina Swensen, Doris Blinker and Charles Preston sang, "Only Remembered," "Rich art the Moments of Blessing," and "It pays to Serve Jesus," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Daniel Olson.
