Koltis, Anton (13 JUN 1884 - 20 AUG 1959)
Anton Koltis passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Thursday, Aug. 20, 1959, where he was ailing from a kidney infection.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Francis Disher and Rev. Chester Kieras at St. Hedwig’s Church, Aug. 24th at ten o’clock.
The deceased was born in Lublin, Poland, June 13, 1884. He came to the United States in 1904, was united in marriage to Josephine Kosnowicz in 1912.
He resided in Pennsylvania before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1917, where he farmed, having retired several years ago, but still resided on a farm in the Town of Reseburg.
Besides his widow, he is survived by eight sons, Edward, Benedict, Walter, Adolph and Joseph of Thorp, Thaddeus of Hillside, Ill., Frank of Coloma, Calif., Jerome of Chicago, and six daughters, Sister Mary Kathleen of Milwaukee, Mrs. Genevieve Lewerenz of Marshfield, Mrs. Leocadia Bogue, Mrs. Adella Abramczuk and Mrs. Harriet Smiderski, of Chicago, and Mrs. Helen Frinack of Thorp, also 26 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Kaminski, Peter Flashinski, Chas. Deniszkiewicz, Stanley Kosik and Walter Pajak.
Out of town friends and relatives who attended the funeral were: Sister Mary Kathleen of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koltis and family of Coloma, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Ted Koltis and family of Hillside, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bogue, Mrs. Adella Abramczuk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smiderski and family, and Jerry Koltis, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Rhinehart Lewerenz and family of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lewerenz of Neillsville.
