A bridal shower was held Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Brown, in honor of Miss Barbara Wehrman, daughter of Mrs. Erna Wehrman, who will be married to Donald Noeldner of Loyal at the Immanuel United Church October 12 at 1 p.m.
After the honoree opened gifts, a lunch was served to 30 relatives and friends present by the hostesses, Mrs. Charles Suda, Mrs. Hugh Severson, Mrs. Peter Korntved and Mrs. Brown. Out of town gusts were: Mrs. Herman Noeldner and daughter, Brenda of Loyal; and Mrs. Stanley Suda of Willard.

The Woman’s Society of Christian Service met Friday afternoon in Grace Methodist Church, with Mrs. Hugh Christie presiding. Mrs. Maud Huntzicker read a letter from Ernest Sells, missionary in Rhodesia, a former visitor here.
The smorgasbord to be held in the local church was discussed. The date will be announced later. Mrs. Truman Hill presented the program entitled, "Recruitment" assisted by Mrs. Huntzicker and Mrs. Elery Moberg.
The next meeting will be held October 4, with Mrs. Henry Keller, Mrs. Edgar Opdyke and Mrs. Fred Clintsman as hostesses. Mrs. Robert Bartelt will be the program chairman.

The Westside Homemakers met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Otto Schwarze for their organizational meeting. The program for the year was planned. The next meeting will be held October 15, the place to be announced later. Officers are Mrs. Emil Noah, president; Mrs. Henry Vollrath, vice president; and Mrs. Elery Moberg, secretary and treasurer.

Mrs. John Wuethrich was admitted to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she was taken by ambulance Friday evening.
Mrs. Archie Lyons of Riplinger was an overnight guest Wednesday of Mrs. Henry Keiner.
A 2/c Elmer Noah and friends of the Grand Forks, N. D., AFB, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Noah. Other guests were Mrs. Verlan Noah and children of thorp, and the Robert Blunch family of Richland Center.
