Schoengarth, Augusta C (18 March 1877 - 4 October 1963)

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church for Miss Augusta C. Schoengarth, 86, of Neillsville, who died October 4 at her home.  The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Miss Schoengarth was born March 18, 1877, in the Town of Grant. She was the daughter of the late William and Johanna (Kolossa) Schoengarth. She attended rural school and in later years was a dressmaker.

She lived on a farm in the Town of Grant until 1948, when she moved to Neillsville.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Reindel of Neillsville; and Misses Hulda and Anita Schoengarth at home.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services were conducted October 8 for Miss Augusta C. Schoengarth, 86, of Neillsville, who died October 4, following a long illness. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated at services from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Ronald Gluch, Alvin Scharf, Glenn Hines, Edward Garbisch, Henry Helm and Ray Foemmel.

"I’m But a Stranger Here" and "Abide with Me" were sung by Mrs. Harold Mayer and Mrs. Roger Tyler, accompanied by Victor Lehman.

Out of town people at the service were: Mr. and Mrs. William Reindel and Mrs. Alvin Thompson of Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Mills of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. John Gluck, Henry Helm, Alvin Scharf, Edward Garbisch, Ray Foemmel and Mrs. Donald Hughes all of Granton.
