Keller, Ruth Almeda (Marriage - 12 October 1963)

Nuptial vows were repeated Saturday in the Neillsville Methodist Church uniting in marriage Ruth Almeda Keller of Neillsville and Charles Maegdefessel of Rt. 3, Neillsville. The single ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lloyd Mauer.

Mrs. Ida Voight, sister of the bride, was her matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Alfred Langner of Augusta.

The groom was attended by Alfred Langner as bestman and his groomsman was Ed Voight of York Center.

Mrs. Maegdefessel wore a deep wine double-knit, three piece suit with matching accessories.  Orchids with red throats made up the corsage that was pinned to her shoulderline.

A buffet luncheon was served at the American Legion Hall. Vases of chrysanthemums adorned the tables. The wedding cake was baked by the bride and was decorated in colors of her bridal attire.

A 6:30 p.m. dinner for immediate relatives was served at the Keller home on O’Neill Street.

The bride, who worked for many years in a local laundry, recently retired. The groom is a retired electrician, having worked at that trade in Chicago for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Maegdefessel left Monday on a two-week wedding trip to Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Indiana.

Guests from away attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Warner Dickie of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Emmanuel of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Langner of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vandeberg of Marshfield; Mrs. Mary Gizewski and Ray of Fairchild; and Mrs. Everett Pepper of Janesville.
