The Equity meeting will be held on Friday hereafter. June 13th will be the next meeting at Chili. Every farmer should join the Equity if he is interested in selling his livestock at the highest market price.
Mrs. Henry Neinas of Marshfield died Monday and was brought here for burial Thursday.
Alfred Reisner was married Wednesday according to the latest reports. We are unable to get the particulars. However, for further information inquire of Fred Grotke.
Henry Nebel has his new barn almost completed.
A remarkable discovery for cure of sleep-walking was published by East Lynn last week. He has been entirely cured by this remedy.
The Baers of Granton were in Bealer’s woods on Sunday.
The German Lutheran Church of Fremont held their children’s day picnic on Sunday, June 1st, same being a success in every way. And the members of the church wish to thank everybody that attended and helped to make it a success. Quite a number of the Marshfield Auto Club were present and was liberal in swelling the fund. A goodly number from Granton and vicinity attended and did their share. Jake Henning was kept busy with his touring car between Chili and the picnic ground in order to accommodate all those wishing to partake. The amount taken in at the picnic was $165.32. C.E. Blodgett of Marshfield being unable to attend, came out 2 days later and added a five dollar bill, making the total $170.32. The expenses were $79.06, leaving a net profit of $92.26.
