A week ago Sunday district Supt. Brenner held services in the morning and evening, while Rev. Peckham held the regular service Sunday the first.

The Progress School gave a picnic on Venske’s Creek Friday.  A large percentage of Lindsey youngsters were in attendance.

Mr. Shirmaker, who has lived in Lindsey the past three months, has returned to his home near Pittsville.  He is a gentlemanly and business like young man and will make good wherever he goes.

Will Simpson, who left Lindsey about three months ago to stay forever, has returned and is renting a house.  It just seems as the people can’t tear themselves away from the dear little burg.

Many families have returned time and again in a vain attempt to quit us.  Indeed we don’t’ blame them.  We are in a delightful community.  The men are brave, the women are charming and the children are angelic.  Come pat us on the back.
