Hartson, Velma C. (13 December 1890 - 28 October 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Velma C. Hartson, 73, of Greenwood, will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville.  Mrs. Hartson died Monday at her home.  The Rev. David Kellin of the Greenwood Methodist Church will officiate.  Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Hartson, the former Velma Snyder, was born December 13, 1890, in the Town of York.  She was the daughter of the late Milton and Nellie (Parrett) Snyder.

On May 14, 1914, she was married to Wellen G. Hartson in Greenwood. They lived in Greenwood, where they operated the post office for several years before moving to Neillsville in 1935. Mr. Hartson was an employee of the Northern States Power Company and after his death in 1957; Mrs. Hartson went to Greenwood to live.

She was a member of the Greenwood Methodist Church and Greenwood Chapter, No. 137, O.E.S.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Nell) Wuethrich of Greenwood; and two grandchildren, Linda and Samuel Wuethrich.
