Schroeder, Clara (1 December 1892 - 2 November 1963)
Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Schroeder, 70, of Neillsville, were held Tuesday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Mrs. Schroeder died Saturday at the University Hospital in Madison.
The former Clara Roepke was born December 1, 1892, in Chicago. She was educated there and in March 1921, was married to Carl Schroeder in Chicago. They lived in Neillsville until 1926, when they moved to Rib Lake, later going back to Chicago. They returned to Neillsville in 1958.
Mrs. Schroeder is survived by her husband and nine children. They are: Paul Schroeder of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Joseph (Gertrude) Humphrey of Chicago; Mrs. James (Florence) Dicks of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; Frederick Schroeder of Arlington Heights, Ill.; Clarence Schroeder of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Bernard (Lorraine) Smet of Chicago; Herbert Schroeder, Mrs. Phillip (Delores) Chirchirillo, and Mrs. Luan (Joan) (missing surname) of Chicago, Ill. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Eric (Johanna) Martin of Maywood, Ill., and Mrs. Mamie Blum of Neillsville; and 28 grandchildren.
The body was taken at noon from the Georgas Funeral Home to the Church.
She was a member of the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
