Connor, Donald (1888? - 10 JUN 1913)

Donald Connor, 24 years old, oldest son of W.D. Connor of Marshfield, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, was killed and Miss Nora Braun, 20 years old of Oshkosh, was perhaps fatally injured in a spectacular automobile accident near Fremont (Clark Co.), Wis., late Tuesday afternoon.  The automobile in which the young people were riding, a new six cylinder, high powered roadster, shot into the air at a sharp turn, turned over twice and landed on its side.

Connor was thrown out of the machine to a height of sixty feet and was caught under the heavy machine as it struck the ground.  The young woman remained in the machine during its thrilling gyrations.  Connor was crushed to death.  His ribs were broken and there were many internal injuries.  He was dying when two men who witnessed the accident reached his side.

When the men hurried to the injured girl they found her unconscious and an examination proved that she was seriously injured.  Little hope is given of her recovery.
