Patno, John #2 (10 MAY 1849 - 13 JUN 1913)
*Birth date taken from another obituary for him
Last Friday, June 13th, 1913, John Patno who was at Rochester, Minn. recovering after an operation for cancer, was suddenly called upon to answer the final summons. A sad and unexpected blow to his beloved relatives and friends here. His death resulted from heart failure with little or no warning to the deceased. He departed mortal life quite unobserved by mortal man. An employee of the hotel at which he was stopping, not getting a response from his room Friday morning, entered and found him lying in a natural position as though peacefully slumbering, though quite devoid of life.
New of his death soon reached his family here and at their request George Norris a close friend of their set out for Rochester and brought the body home, arriving here Sunday morning. Religious services were had and the body interred in a cemetery in the town of Loyal that afternoon. James Scoles of York officiated. We regret that we have been unable to secure data for anything concerning the life of this worthy deceased.
