Koski, Emmanuel (24 DEC 1882 - 4 JAN 1961)
Complications of old age were the attributing factors to the death of Emmanuel Koski, 78, who passed away at Havenet Nursing Home on Jan. 4, 1961.
The Rev. Karl Wilkman, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, Owen, officiated at the final rites held at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen. Serving as pallbearers were John Pukkila, Frank Juntunen, Anton Kallio, Harvey Wilksman, Eino Walkama and Sol Laakso.
The deceased had been a resident of the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) area since 1912. Being born Dec. 24, 1882 in Finland, he came to this country as a young man and in 1912 settled on a farm in the Town of Hoard with his parents. In 1937 his wife preceded him in death, at which time he retired to the Village of Curtiss where he resided until four years when he entered the Havenet Nursing Home.
In addition to his wife, one son preceded him in death as an infant.
