Elsinger, Jeanette (Marriage - 9 November 1963)
Jeanette Elsinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Elsinger of Loyal, became the bride of William J. Erickson, son of Mrs. M. W. Erickson of Loyal, at a ceremony conducted last Saturday morning by the Rev. Norbert E. King in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
The bride, whose hand was given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length gown fashioned of French faille, featuring a rounded, scoop neckline and long, tapered sleeves buttoned at the wrist. Complimenting the dress was a fitted bodice from which flowed a skirt of automan styling. Large bows trimmed the waist and skirt. The bride wore a brilliant wedding cake crown fashioned of Aurora Borealis crystals and imported seed pearls, to which was attached a bouffant cloud veil of bridal illusion.
The bridal bouquet consisted of white Fuji chrysanthemums surrounded by red sweetheart roses and stephanotis. Red roses were caught in tiny bows in a shower of white ribbon streaming from the bouquet.
Maid-of-honor was Miss Mary Elsinger of Loyal, a sister; and bridesmaids were Mrs. Jon Fisher of Spencer and Mrs. Tom Brossow of Madison.
The attendants wore bright red, full-length gowns of crystal peau de Soie, featuring a scoop neckline, three-quarter fitted sleeves and complimented by a cummerbund effect at the waist, from which flowed a modified bouffant skirt. Small bows adorned the front of the skirt, complimenting the attire of the bride. They wore on their heads a red flower cluster to which was attached matching face veils. Their dresses provided a striking background for the white floral arrangement, which was in the shape of a large poinsettia.
As his bestman the groom chose Rodney Rosenfeldt of Abrams. Jon Fisher of Spencer and Tom Brussow of Madison were his groomsmen. Ushers were Tom Elsinger and Craig Johnston, both of Loyal.
A brunch was served after the ceremony in St. Anthony’s church hall. A reception was held in the afternoon and a dance that evening in Loyal amusements. A wedding supper was served in the church hall.
The bride, a 1960 graduate of Loyal High School, has been employed as a law secretary in Loyal. The groom, also a 1960 graduate of Loyal High, is employed as a credit manager for a Madison concern.
Following a wedding trip through southern states, the newlyweds will make their home at 826 West Lakeside Street, Madison.
Guests from out of town attending the wedding came from Madison, Oconto, Appleton, Oshkosh, Greenwood, Abrams, Milwaukee, Gutenberg, Ia., and Chicago, Ill.
