Mrs. H.E. Williams spent the first of the week with her mother at Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Henry Pischer and son Alvin, with Mrs. Wm. Pischer of Chili, spent Tuesday at the county seat.

 

Mrs. Olive Needham of Melrose is visiting at her nephew G.E. Amidon’s since Saturday.

 

Miss Ora Marsh returned home Sunday from a couple of weeks visit between Melrose, Black River Falls and La Crosse.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Oderkirk of Fond du Lac, on their honeymoon trip, spent several days of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mayhew, and departed for home on Monday.

 

Mrs. Rush Wentworth, accompanied by her sisters the Misses Rose and Mary Morrissey, spent Monday enjoying the sights at Marshfield.

 

Miss Lillian McGinnis of St. Paul spent several days of last week here with Mrs. Kearney Davis.

 

Arthur Kurth spent the first of the week visiting relatives at Marshfield.

 

Grandpa Carl Roder returned home on Sunday from his visit with relatives at Duluth, Minn.

 

Miss Ruby Winn, after a six week vacation and visit under the parental roof, returned to Milwaukee and Trinity Hospital to resume her studies and duties there on Monday.

 

Bert Corey went to Merrillan Saturday to meet his wife and children, who were enroute from Susquehanna Co., Pa. to join him here.  They arrived here al O.K. with him Sunday morning.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strous, a bride and groom, the late of Madison and she was a Miss Emma Peters of La Crosse, arrived at the Clemens Kuechenmeister home last Friday and made an over Sunday visit.

 

Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister, together with her little niece, Marion Handke of Neillsville, are visiting the former’s sister, Mrs. Emil Krueger in Milwaukee since Wednesday.  Louis Hantke plans to join them there tomorrow.  They expect to return early next week.

 

Miss Marion Smith came home from Trinity Hospital, Milwaukee, late last week for a vacation and visit of several weeks.  Miss Marian, who is studying for a professional nurse has recently been a victim of typhoid fever, consequently the privilege of being at home just now is most welcome.

 

The entertainment at the opera house last Friday night, given by the "original drummer boy of the Rappahannock" was enjoyed by all who care for that sort of entertainment.  The dance given after the entertainment, for which the Lynch Orchestra of Neillsville furnished the music, was a very enjoyable affair.

 

The annual Kinderfest of the German Lutheran Church of Neillsville will be held Sunday, June 29 at H. Bartell’s grove.  Church services in the morning and dinner will be served at 12 o’clock sharp.  After dinner the children will render an entertaining program consisting of songs, contests, and races of all kinds.  There also will be sports and amusement for everybody.  Ice cream and refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.  The Neillsville band will furnish the music.  Everybody is welcome.
