Hanson, Elizabeth (12 AUG 1893 - 24 MAR 1961)
Mrs. Peter Hanson, 67, died early Friday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford on Sunday, March 26.
The former Elizabeth Redwine was born in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) Aug. 12, 1893. She was educated in the Owen area schools and was married to Peter Hanson in Owen March 21, 1914. The couple farmed in the Abbotsford area until their retirement when they moved into the village.
She was a member of the Woman’s Club and Presbyterian Woman’s Association.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Westendorf, Withee, and Mrs. Anna Marie Schraufnagel, Abbotsford; a son, John, Westboro, a brother and six sisters, Donald Redwine, Mrs. Pearl Fox, Mrs. Seeta Rasmussen and Mrs. Beulah Barfknecht, Ladysmith, Mrs. Norma Stropp, Wenatchee, Wash., Mrs. Winifred Garret, San Bernardino, Calif., and Mrs. Audrey Pickelman, Lawrence, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
