W.P. Budge transacted business at the county seat on Friday.

 

Mrs. John Rausch is visiting relatives at Marshfield since Monday.

 

Mrs. A. Pline and children of Portland, Oregon are here visiting her sister, Mrs. W.J. Thayer.

 

Geo. Thayer and family autoed down from Curtiss Sunday and spent the day here with his brother W.J. and family.

 

Mrs. Geo. Beaver returned Saturday from her visit with her parents and other relatives at Athens.  She was accompanied home by her father, Mike Hubing.

 

Will Kunner of Spencer came down last Saturday on a several weeks visit with his brother-in-law Fred Schwantes.  He will assist Fred in building a barn.

 

Mike Grasser returned home Monday afternoon from a several weeks visit with relatives in Sheboygan County.

 

Rice and Leland Davis, who autoed to St. Paul with Clyde Shaw last Saturday, returned home Sunday night on the midnight train.

 

Hugh Berg sold his horses last week and has joined the ranks of the autoists, owning and driving a Ford roadster which he purchased from Knorr & Rausch.

 

Ye Editor and his sister-in-law Miss Ethel Stockwell of Neillsville autoed to Wausau Sunday and spent the day with relatives.  Mrs. Baer and Helen came home from there Tuesday.

 

Wm. Storm installed an up-to-date gas-lighting system in his saloon building this week.  The gas is produced from gasoline through pressure and can be lighted at any time without first genterating.

 

While at Wausau we had the pleasure to meet D.N. Klein and his son-in-law T.F. Feldmaier at the Krieger-Verein program Sunday.  The two gentlemen are prosperous and enjoying life in that city.  D.N. is putting up a two family house for rent and to all appearance is permanently located there.
