Christophersen, Rev. Einar B. (? - 19 November 1963)
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for the Rev. Einar B. Christophersen, 78, widely known Pigeon Falls Evangelical Lutheran pastor and father of Rolf Christophersen, sales manager for the John D. Wuethrich Creamery Company of Greenwood.
The Rev. Mr. Christophersen died last week Tuesday of a heart attack. Mr. Christophersen had been injured in an automobile accident November 7; but his physician said that the injuries were not responsible for the death.
A former member of the University of Wisconsin board of regents, Mr. Christophersen succeeded his father as pastor of the Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1909. He was honored in July, 1960, at a golden jubilee celebration at the church.
Still active in the ministry in churches in Pigeon Falls, Hixton, South Beef River and Upper Pigeon, Rev. Mr. Christophersen had 1,400 parishioners. He was active in community roles, as well as in his churches.
Surviving besides the son, Rolf, are Mrs. Christophersen, whom he married in 1912; and two other sons, Bjorn of Eau Claire; and Paul, a resident of San Diego, Calif.
