Seefeldt, Eldore "Jack" (1 SEP 1922 - 15 DEC 2011)
Eldore "Jack" Seefeldt, 89, of
Unity died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at home, with his family by his
side. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19,
2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. David DePaoli
will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in
Spencer and again from noon until the time of service Monday at the
church.
Jack was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Clark County, the son of Edwin and
Gladys (Anderson) Seefeldt. He proudly served his country
during World
War II from
1941 to 1945. On July 6, 1945, he was united in marriage to Adeline
Greening. The couple spent their entire working life
farming.
Jack was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. He
enjoyed time spent with friends, family, and especially his
grandchildren. He took special pride in gardening and growing
trees. Jack loved to listen to the Lutheran Hour and he also liked
playing Yatzee.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Darold Seefeldt, Joyce
Alsteen, Duane (Rendean) Seefeldt, Rhonda (Joe) Weix, Trudy Carey,
Mark (Vicky) Seefeldt; as well as 14 grandchildren and 5
great-grandchildren. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline; parents, Edwin and
Gladys; son-in-law, Tim Alsteen; as well as brothers, Maynard
Seefeldt, Philmore "Sam" Seefeldt; and a sister, Dorothy
Struck.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to make an expression of sympathy
in Jack's name are encouraged to do so to "The Lutheran
Hour".
