Pleasant Ridge (5 December 1963)
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hill of Elroy and Charles Scholtz of Germantown were weekend guests at the Bob Kunze home. The men spent most the time hunting.
Miss Shirley Magnuson of Minneapolis, Minn., spent the Thanksgiving weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Magnuson.
Mr. and Mrs. William Novatny, Jr., and Julene, and Mrs. Novatny’s mother, Mrs. Nellie Yankee of Oshkosh, spent Thanksgiving afternoon and were supper guests of the Genevieve Hantke home.
Mrs. Gene Short entertained for dinner Thanksgiving Day. Guests were Mrs. Alfred Magnuson, Hilda Kurth, Shirley Magnuson, Elsie Wolf and Polly Hantke.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Short and family spent Thanksgiving Day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey, in Barron.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Babka and children of Black River Falls, who called at the Art Hubing home, were Thanksgiving Day guests at the Robert Jacob home near Christie.
Mrs. Ella Larson and Miss Arlene Schlinsog of Milwaukee spent the holiday weekend at the Walter Schlinsog home. Thursday, Mr. Schlinsog and his guests visited at the Bob Schlinsog home near Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Maxson and son of Bay City, Mich., left Sunday for home after spending four days with her mother, Mrs. Emma Zipfel.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Zipfel and family were Thanksgiving Day guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Greeler, in the Town of York.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Chase were Thanksgiving Day guests of their daughter, Mrs. Henry Schmidt and her family, near Loyal.
Mrs. Walter Larsen was a dinner guest Thursday at the Argil Stigen home.
Thanksgiving Day guests at the Clarion Counsell home were Mr. and Mrs. Milford Rowe and son of York, Dr. and Mrs. John Prouty of Lime Ridge, Lawrence Olia and Terry Olia of Foster, Mrs. Grace Olia of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Pagenkopf and children of Platteville.
Mr. and Mrs. Arne Eisentraut and family of Rockford, Ill., spent the Thanksgiving weekend at the Carl Eisentraut home and with her father, Rex Krejci, and his family in Neillsville.
