Petersen, Helen (27 November 1895 - 9 December 1963)

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) morning at 9:30 a.m. for Mrs. Arney Petersen, 69, of 204 E. 5th Street, Neillsville, who died Monday in Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since November 29. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly will officiate at services from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Petersen, the former Helen Zimmer, was born November 27, 1895, in Neillsville, and was graduated from Neillsville High School in 1913. She was employed by the late Homer Clark in his law office and later in the Schuster and Campman law office.  During World War I she worked at Camp Douglas.

On October 1, 1919 she was married to Arney Petersen at Camp Douglas.

She is survived by her husband and three children: John Petersen of Beloit; Miss Margaret Petersen of Neillsville; and Karl Petersen of Dayton, O.  Other survivors include a brother, Joseph F. Zimmer of Neillsville, and eight grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, its St. Rose’s Circle, and of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

A general rosary service was said Wednesday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home.
