Capes, Jesse (Recognition - MAY 1961)
In recognition of 20 years of service to residents of the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) as town treasurer Jesse Capes found satisfaction hi his community service when he and his wife were honored at a party recently. Numerous friends gathered at the Longwood Town Hall where a pleasant evening was absorbed played cards, visiting and climaxed with a lunch. During the proceedings their friends presented him with a lovely wrist watch and Mrs. Capes with a traveling clock. Mr. Capes decided to retire from public office when his term expired in April and did not seek re-election.
