Blang, Barbara #2 (10 JUN 1961)
Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Eau Claire was the scene of the Saturday evening nuptial of Miss Barbara Blang and James Ammentorp, Dr. E.M. Hegge officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of silk organza with tapered sleeves, Sabrina neckline etched with sequins and pearls, and full skirt ending in brush train. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis.
Mrs. Floyd Christianson attended the bride as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Duane Schaefer and Miss Janet Wolfram. All wore light blue silk taffeta dresses with lace cummerbunds. Half hats of small seed crowns held their blush veils, and they carried fireside baskets of white daisies.
Best man was Marvin Ammentorp, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were William Reineke and Sidney Sorensen. William Hack and Thomas Devine served as ushers.
After a reception in the Friendship Room of the church, the couple left for Chicago, Ill., where the groom will be employed by the Social security Administration. Both are graduates of the Wis. State College in Eau Claire.
