St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Abbotsford was the scene of the wedding of Miss Carole Marie Thompson and Glenn Frane, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thompson, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mrs. Florence Frane of Abbotsford.

The Rev. Raymond Schulz officiated at the marriage ceremony at 9:30 a.m. nuptial Mass on Saturday, June 10, 1961.  The church altar was decorated with bridal wreath and tulip bouquets.

For her wedding the bride donned a dress of satin with lace appliques on the skirt.  The bodice above the floor length skirt was detailed by long sleeves and a round neckline.

Her fingertip veil was caught to a jeweled crown with lace appliques and she carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and stephanotis.

Attendants to the bride were Mrs. Marion Kuntz, Park Falls, as maid of honor, and Mrs. Wayne Thompson, Milwaukee, as bridesmaid.  They were both attired in orchid ballerina length dresses of chiffon and carrying yellow and white carnation bouquets.

Attending the groom were Howard Frane, Curtiss, as best man, and Charles Siggelkow, Milwaukee, as the groomsman.  Charles Frane, Abbotsford and Robert Siggelkow, Withee, ushered wedding guests.

Wedding day events consisted of a noon luncheon at the home of the groom’s mother, a supper at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance at Dorchester Memorial Hall.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and has been employed by Sears-Roebuck & Co., in Milwaukee.  Her husband is also a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School, and employed at American Box Board Factory at Colby.

After a wedding trip which took them to Mackinac Island in Michigan and northern Wisconsin they are receiving friends and relatives at their home in Abbotsford.
